賀!中心成員盧明俊教授勇奪2023年淨零排放科技國際競賽冠軍 (創新二氧化碳化學吸收與結晶技術)

台灣大學與財團法人東元科技文教基金會合辦的「2023 淨零排放科技國際競賽@Taiwan」,於今(22)日舉行決賽簡報,由台大、中興大學與台北科技大學拿下前3名獎項,3項特別獎也由台大及成大聯隊所獲得。總統蔡英文在致詞時表示,這項比賽提供平台,吸引世界頂尖大學師生集思廣益,具有重大意義。
東元科技文教基金會自2008年起長達12年持續舉辦推廣節能減碳的「GreenTech國際競賽」,期間受疫情影響而停辦3年,活動於今年恢復舉行,並與台大合作,以「淨零排放科技國際競賽@Taiwan」為主題,吸引來自10個國家地區、40所大學、計146支隊伍報名參賽,由中興大學環境工程學系教授盧明俊帶領學生周昱潔、黃瀞葳、郭東憲等3人,以「二氧化碳化學吸收與結晶技術之裝置與處理方法」的作品獲得冠軍。
蔡英文今日特地親自到場參觀並頒獎。她在致詞時提到,這場活動說明了淨零轉型是一場跨領域、跨國界、跨世代的巨大轉型工程,而淨零技術是台灣推動淨零轉型關鍵中的關鍵,這項比賽提供了平台,吸引世界頂尖大學的師生一起集思廣益,具有重大的意義。
台大校長陳文章說,這場競賽不僅是科技盛宴,更是眾人共同關注全球環境永續發展的重要平台。來自各國的師生在此匯聚不同領域的智慧,共同探討淨零排放技術的未來,團隊在競賽前後的目標設定、深耕投入與各種相關的訓練,將會在培育淨零人才上產生關鍵作用。
東元科技文教基金會董事長郭瑞嵩指出,基金會透過舉辦這項國際競賽,積極倡議各界以「人才培育」作為2050 淨零排放的源頭活水,而政府、教育機構現階段投入的資源與人才培育的行動,對於2050的淨零排放的達成率,將決定台灣在這項議題中的永續能量與發展性。
