To enhance international collaboration and reinforce global partnerships in clean energy innovation and talent cultivation, Professor Kuan-Jiuh Lin, Director of iSNR, led a delegation to the University of Tokyo from April 19 to 23, 2025.

During the visit, iSNR and the University of Tokyo engaged in in-depth discussions focused on establishing a long-term international cooperation framework. Particular attention was given to the development of multi-tiered talent training programs targeting senior undergraduates, master's and doctoral students, and postdoctoral researchers. The talks covered a range of strategic topics, including short-term student exchange initiatives, advisor pairing, the feasibility of dual-degree programs, and the sharing of research infrastructure and resources.

The delegation also held a high-level academic exchange with Professor Takaaki Kajita, Director of the University of Tokyo’s Institute for Cosmic Ray Research and recipient of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics. The meeting served as a valuable platform for sharing advanced scientific perspectives and exploring the potential for interdisciplinary research collaboration in the future.

This visit lays a strong foundation for iSNR’s continued efforts to cultivate global talent, expand academic resource networks, and explore future technology cooperation models. The initiative is expected to further elevate iSNR’s international visibility and enhance its research effectiveness in the field of clean energy.
