In a bid to enhance international academic exchange and cooperation, Professor Kuan-Jiuh Lin, Director of iSNR, led a delegation to Japan from April 14th to April 20th, 2024. During the visit, fruitful discussions and experience sharing sessions were held with Hokkaido University, specifically with the Institute for Chemical Reaction Design and Discovery (ICReDD), Keio University's Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Spiber Corporation, and Tohoku University. This marked the first face-to-face in-depth exchange, aiming to promote interdisciplinary research and development in fields such as chemistry, biology, and computational science applied to carbon-negative technologies.

The delegation sought to draw insights from Japan's operational models in natural science research, with a focus on enhancing and refining domestic research processes, promoting technology transfer, and exploring future collaboration opportunities. Efforts were made to develop academic and educational cooperation between both parties, strengthening bilateral research collaboration, and fostering substantial exchanges.
