To expand international collaboration in sustainable net-zero chemistry and advanced biomedical technologies, Professor Kuan-Jiuh Lin, Director of iSNR, visited the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Graduate School of Science, and the Research and Analytical Center for Giant Molecules at Tohoku University on July 30th, 2024. These meetings aimed to actively promote international research collaborations in pharmaceutical development and carbon-negative sustainable energy.

On August 1st, 2024, Professor Lin continued his visit to the University of Tokyo's Department of Chemistry. A preliminary agreement was reached to establish exchange programs for students and professors between National Chung Hsing University’s Department of Chemistry and the University of Tokyo. Additionally, an initial consensus was achieved with Professor Hiroaki Suga, President of the Chemical Society of Japan and Executive Director for Science and Technology Innovation at Japan's Cabinet Office, to jointly organize the "2026 Taiwan Chemistry Annual Meeting and National Chung Hsing University Department of Chemistry 70th Anniversary Celebration" in collaboration with the Chemical Society Located in Taipei.

To further strengthen ties between National Chung Hsing University and the University of Tokyo, the Center has invited scholars from the University of Tokyo to participate in the International Symposium on Carbon-negative Futures hosted by iSNR in November. Additionally, several scholars have been invited to visit National Chung Hsing University as visiting scholars in 2025. iSNR remains committed to deepening collaboration with these two prestigious Japanese universities to enhance the exchange of sustainable carbon-negative technologies and innovative practices while also exploring academic and educational cooperation opportunities.
