iSNR hosted an academic exchange with Prof. Teppei Yamada, Chair of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Tokyo, from January 7 to January 9, 2025. During his visit, an academic lecture and a student forum were organized, providing valuable international exchange opportunities for faculty and students.

Prof. Yamada's lecture was titled The Shift of Redox Equilibria for Energy Harvesting, Thermocell, and Beyond. His presentation focused on technological breakthroughs in thermocells, especially in the improvement of thermocell performances by introducing host-guest chemistry, PCET reactions, the use of mixed solvents and deep eutectic solvents, and improvements in cell configuration, endowing the significant potential in energy conversion systems.

In addition to the lecture, Prof. Yamada also participated in a forum with undergraduate students. During the forum, he provided an in-depth overview of the current status of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Tokyo and the academic progression system, giving interested students the chance to ask questions and receive direct responses about further study opportunities at the university.

The lecture and forum were well-attended, drawing students, faculty, and staff members. The Q&A session following the events was lively and engaging. iSNR remains committed to inviting more international scholars for future exchanges, aiming to strengthen global academic connections and broaden the international perspectives of our students.
